Iserv Offers Customers Global Roaming Internet Access

GRAND RAPIDS, MI April 13, 2004 The Iserv Co., one of the largest independent ISPs (Internet Service Providers) in Michigan, today announced iPass, a service that allows Iserv customers to use their existing Iserv account to access the Internet from more than 150 countries worldwide.

iPass, available today to customers of Iserv and EagleNet at no cost for setup, provides access to email, the web and other Internet applications through a local phone call to more than 22,950 access points throughout the world.

The iPass service is ideal for road warriors, businesses with mobile workers and residential users on vacation who wish to use their existing Iserv accounts to access their email, surf the web and experience high-speed, reliable access, said Victor Shepherd, chief executive officer of Iserv. This service is an example of how we are expanding the reach of the Iserv network throughout Michigan and beyond.

The iPass roaming service includes access to multiple top-tier ISP networks that provide high service reliability and availability in major business centers. In addition to dial-up service, iPass offers wired or wireless broadband connections at over 4,700 locations around the globe, including many hotels, cafes, and airports. Broadband access through iPass is available in Michigan at locations such as the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, Bishop International Airport in Flint, and the Courtyard hotel in Detroit.

As part of the T-Mobile HotSpot network, iPass users have access to wireless broadband connections through the largest public Wi-Fi network in the United States. iPass users can connect via T-Mobile HotSpot at more than 3,900 public access locations including Starbucks coffeehouses, Borders Books and Music, Kinkos, airports and American Airlines Admirals Clubs, United Red Carpet Clubs and Delta Air Lines Clubs.

Utilizing an easy-to-download client and point-and-click interface, iPass allows users to rely on one Internet account worldwide and have the convenience of one user name and password from locations around the world. Usage fees vary by location and connection speeds.
